How We PRice the curiosity Tickets

Workshop and party tickets are sold separately.  You can choose whatever dates suit you (so long as your party is some time after your workshop).  Some people defer their choice of party date until after they've done the workshop, or have no intention of ever coming to a party, and this is welcome.

Your party ticket includes the cost of the debrief session, which almost always runs on the Sunday immediately after a party.  This more casual workshop is mandatory after your first party.
After you've done the workshop, party, and debrief, you're welcome to attend the party by itself as often as you'd like.  You're welcome to come to debrief sessions as often as you'd like, too, and a lot of people do because they're an important part of your ongoing learning and community building.

Tickets are sold in rounds, to encourage you to book in early (since that helps us with planning).  Most tickets are cheaper 'round one' or 'round two' tickets, with 'round three' tickets sometimes available for last-minute purchases.  Tickets for Curiosity workshops almost always sell out weeks in advance, and some parties do too.

For workshops, 'round one' tickets are $140, 'round two' are $160, and 'round three' (if available) are $215.
For parties (including debrief sessions), 'round one' tickets are $60, 'round two' are $70, and 'round three' (if available) are $95.

a note on gender balance

Curiosity is a welcoming space of less common gender and sexual identities. It is a space for all people, and one of its strengths is that a diversity of people can enjoy being in the same space together. Both mainstream and less mainstream identities benefit from this exchange.

It may seem strange at first, but when you book into the workshop, you will be asked to choose your ticket from "female identified", "male identified", or "non-binary gender" options. The only reason we do this is because Curiosity works better when there's a good diversity of people present. While we've done our best with the limited options available, it's a very crude system. Please note that the workshop does NOT assume heterosexuality, nor is there any gendered content (such as concepts of masculine / feminine); it is congruently welcoming of you, whatever your identity or orientation.

There are also tickets for "couples, triads, etc", which is only there to give us an indication of how many people are planning to work mostly just with each other in pair-work exercises during the workshop. Buy one of these for a couple. If you want to work as a triad buy one couples ticket than email us and we'll setup your third ticket. It's also possible to work as a moresome.

Discount positions...
We recognise that less common gender / sexual identities are statistically less likely to have a high income.  We also recognise that a wealth of information and best practice has been developed by queer, trans, and related communities, that is in turn of benefit to more mainstream identities.  Therefore, if you feel that your income generating capacity has been impacted on by your gender or sexual identity, you may contact us for a significantly discounted workshop position; a limited number are available.

A number of paid "helper" roles exist at the Play-Space for people that have done Curiosity previously, whereby a couple of hours of work are exchanged for a refund of the Play-Space ticket.  There is also a cheaper "Curious Again" ticket for people that want to do the workshop again (people often use this ticket to accompany a partner or friend on their first time).
TICKETS, LOGISTICS, LATE POLICY:
Tickets are released in ‘rounds’, where ‘round one’ tickets are cheaper, to encourage you to book in early. There is no other difference between the ‘rounds’ of tickets.

See 'How We Price Our Tickets' above.

It is never possible to buy tickets on the door, nor by paying with cash. See our FAQ for more information on this.

Unless otherwise stated, the workshop will start at the advertised time, and doors will be locked ten minutes later. This is because late arrivals interrupt the dynamic of the group, and will miss crucial safety information.
Answer the below questions, then the booking link will appear. (You will then choose the date of your first party.)

(If you've already done the workshop, tickets for the play-party can be found pinned at the top of the secret group on our internet forum.)

    Checklist before booking in

Read more on our FAQ at http://curiosity.curiouscreatures.biz/faq.html#attendingsingle
If you feel like you need to do more sexuality self-development first, you might want to check out our other workshops at https://www.curiouscreatures.biz/
At the play-space there will likely be sexual activity and play between people of all gender identities (there are more than male/female gender identities in our wonderfully diverse world). If that is too confronting for you, this isn't the space for you. Likewise if you're queer in some way and it's too confronting for you to play around heterosexual cis-gendered people, this is not the right space for you.

Don't want to book in yet?
If you've discovered Curiosity doesn't feel like the right fit for you at this time (or ever), maybe you'd like to do some of Curious Creatures' sexuality or self-development workshops. They range from beginners to intermediate to advanced. Some people do a few of these before easing their way into Curiosity (which is after all, our most adventurous event). See our list of ~30 sexuality and self-development workshops (in-person, online, and pre-recorded).
