Ticket access
Curiosity tickets sit within Curious Creatures' workshop ticket application process. Meaning, if you haven't already, you'll need to do this before you can buy tickets. It takes about five minutes at most, and is something you need to do once (although, you might in future repeat the process if you want a higher level of access).
Because Curiosity is an adventurous event, you'll need to receive 'Access All Areas'. Hint: The more you tell us about yourself in your application process, the better your changes.
Once you've received 'Access All Areas', you'll be able to buy a workshop ticket on a date of your choice. Once you've done that, your confirmation email from Trybooking includes details on how to buy your party ticket.
Workshop and party schedules
You don't need to do everything at once. Indeed, some people just buy a workshop ticket, because it's a valuable experience and education in itself, which will also give you all the information you need to decide if you'd like to proceed to a party.
We generally schedule workshops to be the weekend prior to parties, and the majority of people do this one-week-apart rhythm. To make life easier on out-of-towners, we try and schedule some workshops on a Friday immediately before a party, so that you can do the workshop, party, and debrief all in the one weekend.
Workshops are always 1pm-6pm, in Brunswick (address in booking confirmation email).
Parties are often on the second Saturday of the month, with an afternoon party from 1pm-5pm, and an evening party from 7pm-11pm. Parties are in Collingwood (address in booking confirmation email).
Debriefs and ongoing participation
After you've done your first party, you must come to a debrief before you can attend future parties. At the debrief, in addition to talking about the previous evening, we give you further information on accessing the community that's built up around Curiosity, information on how to get involved in the very active online side of things, and how to buy future party tickets.
Debriefs are always on the Sunday immediately following Saturday parties, from 11am-2pm. During Covid we were doing these online, but it looks like we're set to do them in-person again, in Collingwood.
After you've done the first combination of workshop, party, and debrief, you're welcome to just come back to the party as often as you'd like.
Particularly as we come out of Covid lockdowns, most events are sold out, so getting the dates you want might be tricky. For some ticket types, workshop places might be sold out six months in advance.
